The Volkswagen Crafter Dropside Double Cab is the answer to carrying a crew and a load. It has the capability of carrying seven passengers in comfort with easy rear access from both sides of the cab. Under the rear four seat bench there's extra storage to stow valuables or tools. All seats have 3-point inertia reel seat belts and height adjustable head restraints for added safety.

The Dropside is available as a factory fitted option, it's the ideal solution to carrying a standard load. Using high impact lightweight materials the dropside body is built to last. Gaining access for the load is made as simple as possible. The easy to operate fasteners release the lightweight aluminium dropsides and tailboard to give easy access to all three sides of the load platform area. There's a number of lashing rings to firmly hold the cargo in position, and when not in use they have been especially designed to fold down neatly and sit flush within the load platform surface.

Available on certain models is the 'Shiftmatic' lightweight gearbox which can be operated in either manual or automatic mode. In automatic mode all the gears are selected automatically by the control unit. In manual mode the driver pushes the gear lever forwards to change down or backwards to change up, giving all the benefits of a manual gearbox without the need for a manual clutch.
